UNDERSTANDING the BH-BL ROTARY AWARDS PROGRAM
INTRODUCTION
The
What are the
purposes of presenting awards?
One purpose
of giving awards is to clarify what our club values are and to visually reinforce
them.
Awards honor
outstanding persons who, through their dedicated efforts, set high standards
and achieve important goals. By honoring outstanding
individuals and highlighting the values of Rotary, awards may help educate and
inspire others to strive for worthy goals.
Scholarship
awards may help ease the financial burden of the award recipient.
Awards
bring honor to both the recipient and to the person in
whose name the award is given.
The
BH-BL Rotary club presence at high school honors night increases the
awareness of Rotary within the community. Many organizations present
awards and every one of them provide some funds to the recipient.
