Rotateller Plans

One of President Steve’s goals for 2004—05 is to make the Rotateller “the centerpiece of our club’s internal and external communication.” To that end, the Club Service chair, Val Mosier, appointed a subcommittee “to collect, write, edit, produce and distribute the Rotateller.” Dick O’Rourke and Ed Warren will coordinate the collection and editing of material on a timely basis for publication, and Gini Whetten has volunteered to design the Rotateller format and produce the publication for distribution to the membership. If they agree, committee chairs will be scheduled to write about committee activities on a monthly basis and the president will also frequently use the Rotateller as a communication device. All members are urged to suggest news items that may be of interest to the Club.

BHBL Rotary Club’s Theme for Rotary Year 2004:

Honoring our Past, Taking Pride in the Present

     and Building for the Future

Honoring our Past:

Our club has made significant contributions to Rotary and our community. Likewise, our senior club members are model Rotarians that have selflessly given their time, talent and resources to our community, and for national and worldwide needs. Recognizing these individuals and their accomplishments and those of our club provides us role models, examples and inspiration for our future endeavors.

Pride in the Present:

We should set an achievable, yet “high bar” for the goals we establish for ourselves. To accomplish this we would need to make the

fullest use of our talents and resources, and work as a team. When reaching our worthy goals, our members will know the deep sense of pride from successfully working together to help others.

Building for the Future:

We all want BHBL Rotary to continue to make a positive contribution to our community and the world. The only way we can ensure its continued vitality and existence is to constantly strive to improve every aspect of our club. Let’s work together to make our club even stronger this year so that it will continue to meet the needs of our members and those we serve.

Steve Caine,

BHBL Rotary Club President
