Rey
Whetten first led a review of the successes of the past year. Of special note were the awards given for two
major projects that were new to Rotary in 2006.
First was
the successful Mentoring Program at the BH-BL O’Rourke Middle School. This
program was conceived and coordinated by Mary Anderson, who worked tirelessly
to see this project to fruition. It was
widely seen as a great success by teachers, administrators, Rotary members, and
students alike. We look forward to
further developing this program next year.
Next were
Paul Lewandowski, Steve Caine, Linda LeTendre and all the Rotarians who made
the first annual Golf Tournament so successful.
Despite the weather not
cooperating with us, the tournament was well organized and well attended. We
again want to acknowledge the generosity of Hannaford supermarket. There is a wealth of interest in next year’s
tournament and many good ideas about how to make it even better next year.
Also
recognized were fund raiser organizers Sandra Kominoski for the Pancake
Breakfast, Ron Serapilio for the Apple Pie Festival, Paul Lewandowski for the
Apple Run 5K race and Mary Anderson and Val Mosier for another beautiful Town
in Bloom project.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Rotary Club.
